The house of Thunder

1. My book is about a girl that's in a hospital somewhere and she doesn't know where she is or how she got there. When she was younger her boyfriend got murdered and now she keeps seeing the guys that murdered her boyfriend. The doctors keep saying she is hallucinating but these "ghosts" keep leaving marks on her when they try to hurt her. now she is starting to see her dead boyfriends rotting body.

2. My story takes place at the hospital and she doesn't know where it is but my story has been there the whole time it hasn't changed.

3. The conflict is that she doesn't know where she is and she keeps seeing these dead people and she can't tell if there real or not. She's also in love with her doctor and she doesn't know if he likes her but he seems to.

4. I think the "ghosts" or whatever they are will end up being real and she will get her strength back and run away from that hospital.

Shooting Stars By: Lebron James and Buzz Bissinger

1. This book is about a kid growing up in Akron, Ohio and becoming a great basketball player. First he starts playing on a AAU team called the shooting stars. He makes friends on this team named Little Dru, Sian, and Willie. After winning a championship game in 7th grader for their AAU team they decide to go to St. Vicent St. Mary High School, they aren't liked there because it is a mostly white school. Their freshman and sophomore year they win a state championship and Lebron is a starter all 4 years and averages about 25 points. Half way through their sophomore year Romeo comes to St. V's and plays basketball. They call themselves the Fab Four Plus One. During their junior year that don't practice hard they don't care, they just enjoy winning. They end up with a loss and a shocking loss their junior year in the state championship.
2. This story mostly takes place in Akron, Ohio at the high school.
3. Coach Dru is having the most problems, he cannot get the players to practice hard and they always go out late partying until 4 A.M. on school nights.
4. I choose to read this book because I like basketball and I like Lebron James.
My book is called Night, It's about s young jewish boy who has to go to a concentration camp called Auschwitz. The young boy goes there with his family and has to live through the holocaust
It takes place in Sighet, Transylvania.

STEVE

Stuck in Neutral By: Terry True Man

1. My book is called Stuck In Neutral. Its about a kid who cant move. He can’t move any body parts, limbs, he cant even blink. So paralyzed is a god word for this. He also can remember everything he can hear. He is really smart if he can shoe them that he can do this stuff.

2. It takes place at the kids home pretty much, in Seattle.

3. Number one problem, Shawn is paralyzed pretty much. And he thinks his dad is going to kill him

4. The ending is going to be a “happy ending” the kid in “Normal” and everything is fine.

A child called it

1. There was a little kid around 10 years old and his family loved him. Then when his day left to go to work his mom would make him to chores and not give him food until all the chores were done. Sometimes he only had 2 minutes to eat his food. His mom would beat him if he didn't do something right or tell anyone. He lives downstairs in the basement on a green cot. Soon later on in the book his mom threatens to kill him with a knife. It jabs right in his stomach and then she's nice to him somedays.
2. It was in his house all the time. It usually after school until he went to bed.
3. He has to do chores, His mom beats him, He goes to jail for a night so he doesn't get beat, His mom stabs him.
4. His son and him went back to the house and his son said it was his favorite place to me and he says me too. What made me pick out the book is everyone always reads it and it was pretty good.

Stuffed

I am reading the book "Stuffed." So far its about a group of kids trying to get a fast food restaurant to go out of business or serve healthier food. Ian is sending emails to people across the world telling them to not eat at frankies on friday the 13 because he want frankies to know that they want healthier food or they're not gonna eat their.

Setting: a small school

Conflict: kids want frankies to serve healthier food.

Ending: I think Frankies will serve better and healthier food.

Wow! I'm horrible at monitoring this blog :)

Well, I suppose since it's been over a month since our last posting, we should probably get at it again. It seems like we have so much other stuff to do that I put the blog as our last priority, but I do think it's a good way to talk about your books to the whole class and get ideas for other books you may be interested in.
For your posting by Friday, March 12, answer the following questions:
1. First of al, give a short summary of your book.
2. Where is the setting of your book? If there are multiple settings, list them all. Setting includes place and time period.
3. List the conflicts in your book. Who is having a problem(s) in your book?
4. Make a prediction about how you think your book will end. If you are reading non-fiction, explain why you chose to read about this person and/or event.
Thanks!
